The 2010 Skins ‘n’ Sharps Exhibition will be opening on Sunday 4th July from 2pm to 6pm.

In addition to the collections of artefacts and photos in the exhibition, local artists Fred Negro, Stephen Prictor, David Mellows and Paul Huges will capture the Sharpie era in their artistic styles.

Come along and see local band City Sharps with front man…

On 17 February, Spicks and Specks special guests included Magda Szubanski. Magda spoke about her Sharpie days and performed the famous Sharpie dance style.

It was a great day at the Braybrook Community Festival 100s of people came through. Well done to all involved.

The Skins n Sharps stall got a fantastic response, lots of interest from both young and old. Spoke to a lot of old sharps from the west, it was great to listen to their stories. They were all blown away…

On the 29th of this month I will be involved in the Braybrook community festival. I will have a stall set up promoting Skins ‘n’ Sharps.

This was an amazing concert, a one time event that I feel so privileged to have experienced, and thanks to Greg Macainsh is now a part of Sharpie folklore history. It was called ‘Summer Jam’ because the last band to play that night was a compilation of various members from all of the concert’s bands, on stage together…
