Braybrook Community Festival photos and video
It was a great day at the Braybrook Community Festival 100s of people came through. Well done to all involved.
The Skins n Sharps stall got a fantastic response, lots of interest from both young and old. Spoke to a lot of old sharps from the west, it was great to listen to their stories. They were all blown away just to see the stall relating back to their Sharpie days.
If you know of any community festivals coming up that would like Skins n Sharps involved please contact me through Skins n Sharps.
This a clip of the Braybrook Festival, about half way through there’s a small interview with Sam along with the Skins n Sharps stall.

Sam.
I was the Policeman who spoke to you at the Braybrook Community Festival. It was great to meet you and have a chat about the sharpies from the 70’s. Your display brought back some great memories. The coloured cardigans and the high boots. Wow. I wore them back in the early to mid 70’s and had the skinhead (droog) haircut to go with it. Had to grow it out as my mother threatened to throw me out of the house. I also went to the Lobby Lloyd concert at ths showgrounds as shown on You Tube by Greg Mcainish. What memories. Lobby Lloyd was one of my heroes. Great music and great era. They are long gone but not forgotten. I also went to the showgrounds when Slade played. What a concert that was. Good luck with your promotion of this website. I am happy for you to maintain contact with me. I am based at Footscray. I was too young to be a Footscray sharp in my days but remember a few of them. The ones I remember are now deceased.
Good luck Sam
Craig

Laurie.
You are correct. Lindasfarne were a hit at the Slade concert. The other band were Caravan. They were rubbish and the last band that played at thge Slade concert were an unknown band called Status Quo. Did they come of age after then and still going. Your memory of this concert with the sharps on the wet trotting track is also true. It was a bloody good concert that lives in my memory.
Regards
Craig
